Here you can see we set the DNS at our registrar to our host.

Here are our subdirectories at our host.

Finally, we finish off by creating forwards, that take the main domain and send it to our subdirectories. This allows us to have multiple WordPress blogs all hosted at the same account.

All of the blogs on WordPress have the domain naming convention http://(blogname).wordpress.com. However, in addition to the WordPress domain, a standard www.blogname.com domain can be assigned. The domain is purchased from any number of registrars and added to WordPress. Here are the steps.
1. Purchase a domain
2. Assign the domain at the domain registrar

3. Now we need to go and assign the domain in WordPress.

This takes a few hours to reverberate through the system. Now both URLs work. This is particularly handy for companies that want to host with WordPress, but want a more “professional” URL rather than a blog url.
